After the Flood

Vintage mannequin head assemblage sculpture.

Inspired by the grief of losing previous works to Hurricane Helene, this sculpture became an outlet for processing many emotions. The creation of "After the Flood" was a deeply cathartic experience, where each element was thoughtfully chosen and integrated to narrate a tale of recovery and hope.
What stands out in this piece is not just its appearance, but its soul—the tangible sensation of longing for what was and the quiet resilience to craft anew. It’s a tribute to the cyclical nature of destruction and creation, an ode to the human spirit that continually strives to rebuild, to look upward, beyond the deluge.
