This work explores the unexpected harmony between nature and human craft. An alligator skull rests on a simple wooden base, its surface adorned with delicate blue floral patterns reminiscent of porcelain, while its teeth are gilded in soft gold, adding a quiet elegance to its primal form.
Within its open jaws sits a spalted maple cup, transforming a symbol of ferocity into something intimate and contemplative. Anchored by a base of American chestnut, the piece reflects a balance between wildness and refinement, inviting viewers to reconsider the familiar through a new lens.
