The inspiration for “Survivor” is deeply rooted in my journey as a breast cancer survivor. It was important to me that this piece reflect both the quiet resilience found in moments of stillness and the vitality that emerges through healing. To make this work as authentic as possible, I incorporated actual mammogram images into the design to give the piece an intimacy and truth that extend beyond symbolism—they are reminders of the fragility and strength entwined in survival.
