Do you ever have difficulty falling asleep? Do you ever think and overthink things that don't matter when you lie in bed at night?
This piece was started before Hurricane Helene hit and was completed afterward. Yes, I've had many restless nights since the hurricane, and this piece definitely speaks to those restless, sleepless nights.
Welcome to my world of vibrant chaos and dynamic expression! This mixed-media piece captures a unique fusion of surrealism, street art, and pop culture, and I am happy to share it with you.
"Chaotic Slumber" features a mesmerizing central figure whose striking blue face is the canvas for bold, red lips. What stands out most are the large, round goggles with red and yellow lenses that sit on the figure's face, reminiscent of a welder's gear but infused with a touch of whimsy. Surrounding this enigmatic figure is a vibrant explosion of colors and abstract shapes that radiate outward, creating a sense of boundless energy and a heavy dose of chaos.
Let it provoke thought, inspire creativity, and perhaps stir in you the same love for graffiti and dynamic expression that sparked its creation.
